The Ocean Avenue Revitalization Collaborative (OARC) is happy to announce that the Ocean Avenue Community Benefit District (CBD) was approved on December 14, 2010. Ballots were mailed to the affected property owners in the Ocean Avenue CBD area, in which 54.83% of the weighted votes were in support of the formation. Thank you to all of the support and efforts from merchants, property owners, and residents.

The Ocean Avenue Association at Ingelside currently has an opening for an Executive Director for the Ocean Avenue Community Benefit District. Resumes and cover letters are due by June 14, 2011 at 5pm.See ED Job Description.

CBD Management Plan:

A summary of the edits to the proposed Ocean Ave CBD Management plan and Engineer’s Report dated September 2010 include:
-Administrative, clerical and language clarification clean up
-Correction to parcel data that was provided by some property owners in the petition phase.
-Modifications to the City Owned Phelan Parcel # 3180-001 assessment methodology and services plan.
-The CBD budget, boundary and assessment totals remain the same in the updated plan except for slight reduction due to parcel data corrections requested by property owners.
-The Phelan Parcel Map was updated
-More detailed description of marketing services, improvements and activities to be provided and an increase in the total marketing budget and corresponding reduction in the total contingency line item. The total CBD budget and all parcel assessments remain the same, except for those parcels who requested an assessment adjustment due to incorrect parcel data.
-More detailed description of cleaning and safety services, improvements & activities to be provided in the CBD.
-An updated proposed timeline
