Why should you get involved with OARC?
OARC is working to ensure that the Ocean Avenue commercial corridor becomes a place where all can live, work, play.  This is something that doesn’t just happen on its own, groups of committed volunteers consisting of neighborhood residents; city officials, etc make it possible to achieve revitalization where everyone locally can benefit.  We hope to involve more stakeholders within the neighborhood in our efforts to ensure a sustainable model for development in the neighborhood. 

Get in touch with us to find out about volunteer opportunities.  We are a community driven group and rely on the volunteer energy to drive our ongoing projects.  Some of our present volunteer opportunities consist of writing articles for our newsletter and website, monthly cleanups, distribution of our newsletter to neighborhoods without homeowners associations.  If you have skills you think may be of use to us, feel free to [contact us], as we may have projects that you can help with.  Some of our volunteers have helped with fundraising for our holiday events, graphic designs for our street marketing and other materials, [putting up holiday decorations], community outreach activities such as flyer distribution, and business recruitment and prospecting.
